Former Bloomingdale’s CEO Marvin Traub may be the less-accomplished half of his marriage—his wife, Lee Traub, studied under Martha Graham. (Such a pity the statute of limitations on Black Swan jokes ran out nine months ago, as we have nary an ill word to say about Graham and her dancers!) Mr. and Mrs. Traub are to be honored at the Martha Graham Dance Company’s annual gala, at which ultra-prima ballerina Diana Vishneva is to dance the New York debut of Errand Into the Maze. Emigré Princess Kristina Kovalenko—whose signature drink is reportedly Rémy Martin cognac and apple juice—is chairing the “Friends of Vishneva Committee.” Na zdorovje!
New York City Center, 131 West 55th Street, 7 p.m., with dinner and cocktails to follow. Contact sflanagan@marthagraham.org for tickets and information.
