Harper's Bazaar Contracts Liu Bolin To Stand Out While Blending In

Last night, The Cinema Society held a screening of Juan Carlos Fresnadillo‘s (28 Weeks Later) new monster flick, Intruders at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. While models screamed in their seats and Clive Owen quickly slipped out the back door as soon the credits began, we sat back and enjoyed the psychologically scary film about a man with no face.

We sympathized with the plight of Hollowface, especially at the after party hosted by Georgio Armani and DeLeón Tequila at the Double Seven. After all, who wouldn’t want to wear the face of Clive Owen or Dani Stahl, if only for a day?

  • Back Forward Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges

    Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges

Ludacris spent a ludicrous amount of time posing for pictures with Paul Haggis, director of Traffic. Yes, we all remember you were in the Academy Award-winning movie, Ludacris. Time for a new role?

  • Back Forward Clive Owen

We got one question in to Mr. Owen, and it wasn't "Who are you wearing tonight?"
"Are you a fan of horror films?" We asked the handsome Brit.
"No," he said, turning his back to us. Sorry Mr. Owen, did we scare you? Maybe that's why he didn't stick around to see the end product.

  • Back Forward Sami Gayle

We asked the adorable 16-year-old star of Detachment about her upcoming films.
"I'm doing a feature with Nicolas Cage!" She said giddily.
We would have offered to buy her a drink to prepare, except that she's underage and was with her mother. (Of course she'd have to be: the movie has an R rating.)

  • Back Forward Dani Stahl, Greg Bello

The former Nylon editor and the guy with speaking parts in at least two Darren Aronofsky films.

  • Back Forward Matthew Modine, Ruby Modine

Outside the Tribeca Grand, Mr. Modine tried to rush pass the paparazzi waiting outside. (He was certainly incognito with the hat and glasses.)
"You used to stop for us!" Shouted one of the photo-snappers.
Seemed like a lame line, but it worked: Mr. Modine stopped dead in his tracks and began to throw up the peace sign while holding onto his daughter. What a good sport.

  • Back Daniel Brühl (right)

    Daniel Brühl (right)

The handsome actor playing the Spanish priest in the film was sadly not in the premiere, but we'd like credit for recognizing Mr. Bruhl as the German sniper for Inglorious Basterds after only ten seconds of screen time. And he was speaking an entirely different language! We spent half the night patting ourselves on the back for that one...too bad Mr. Brühl (whose father is famed German director Hanno Brühl) was a no-show in NYC.
