Tis the season to be generous: when all New York’s biggest philanthropies start gearing up for balls, galas, and nightly events to raise money for every cause imaginable. It’s that magical time when a young person must go and prove that they know their junior leagues from their junior committees from their young people’s council.
And while raising money and selling chairs can get pretty competitive, it’s nice to see that the women in New York’s charitable society are able to remain charitable to each other as well. Need more proof? Just look at last night’s New Yorkers for Children’s and C.D. Greene’s co-hosting of cocktails at the Bergdorf Goodman restaurant to benefit youth in foster care. These women (and two men) chose to pose not in a posse or with their dates, but groups of two.
Now that’s girl power.
