To Do Monday: In Evita, Bull

Don’t cry for us—we’ll be in the front row as previews begin for Evita, in a revival imported from the West End. (We’d make more jokes about the music, but we’ve used up the one song we know you’ve ever heard.) Elena Roger is the relative unknown chosen to fill the shoes of Patti LuPone and exorcise the ghost of Madonna. We’ll be at the premiere, too—hi, there, Sir Andrew!—but it’s so invigorating to watch a show work out its kinks. Though with Ricky Martin portraying Che Guevara’s vida loca, we can hardly imagine anything going wrong.

Marquis Theatre, 1535 Broadway, curtain at 8 p.m. Visit evitaonbroadway.com for tickets and information.
