To Do Tuesday: Greenhouse Affects

Linda Greenhouse

So, apparently, whoever is elected (or re-elected) in 2012 will get to nominate a whole slew of Supreme Court justices (though that scuttlebutt about John Roberts resigning was just a rumor spread by a law professor). Might be time for us to learn what the third branch of government actually does! Former New York Times reporter Linda Greenhouse is here to help—presenting a lecture on the Court and its nuts and bolts for citizens like us for whom civics class was a long time a go and the society page exerts a more primal pull than the national report.

The Cooper Union, 41 Cooper Square, 6:30 p.m. Open to the public. Visit www.cooper.edu for information.
