Sure, Nanni Moretti isn’t the best-known of all the top winners at Cannes (that’s probably either noted foot admirer Quentin Tarantino or hibernating left-winger Michael Moore), but he’s the one you can meet tonight! Mr. Moretti, perhaps best known for his Palme d’Or-winning Son’s Room, is presenting his new film, We Have a Pope, at a schmancy screening and dinner shindig hosted by his countrymen-by-way-of-New-York John Turturro, Joe Pantoliano, Stanley Tucci and Gay Talese (whom we’d always assumed was a WASP!). Mr. Moretti is president of the jury at the upcoming Cannes festival—buttonhole him and convince him to vote for whatever Ryan Gosling’s in!
