Deputy Mayor Patricia Harris has dodged the negative buzz that attaches itself to anyone who works with our mayor-king, it seems. She’s being honored by ArtTable for all she’s done for the city’s artsy set. (And we thought art ists were supposed to subvert systems of power!) ArtTable, a nonprofit honoring women leaders in the arts, is throwing its annual bash at the Mandarin Oriental. The keynote will be given by Maya Lin, the architect famous for her Vietnam Veterans Memorial in D.C., and a “New Leadership Award” is to be given to Cecilia Alemani, curator of High Line Art. We’re still high on girl-power from meeting Meryl Streep last night, so we can’t wait to hang with these iron ladies!
