It ain’t over ’til the slimmed-down lady sings—and even then, it ain’t over! Don’t bypass gastrically bypassed opera queen Deborah Voigt performing in Die Walküre at the Met tonight. Ms. Voigt sang in Das Rheingold, the first part of Wagner’s Ring Cycle, last Saturday, and is to perform the next two parts, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung, before April ends. But this is our favorite—Brünnhilde goes through all sorts of torments, including having her immortal status stripped away (bummer, that). The whole thing goes down at Valhalla—and we’ll be in a Valhalla of our own, rubbing elbows with fellow devotees in the front row!

Metropolitan Opera House, Lincoln Center; 6:30 p.m. Tickets and information can be found at http://metoperafamily.org.
