After celebrating dance with a weekend jaunt to Avi Scher’s premiere, it’s time to celebrate the established ballet hierarchy. Yep, we’ll be at the Plaza in black tie, feting dance educator Jody Gottfried Arnhold at the Ballet Hispanico’s Spring Gala. Ms. Arnhold has made it her goal to install a dance educator in every public school—and hey, if she succeeds, entire generations will look far less inept on the
dance floor at Plaza Hotel functions! (We do a two-step only when we’re two steps away from the waiter with the Champagne tray.) The whole shebang’s chaired by banking wife Judith Dimon—it’ll be too fun to fail!
