Just in time for the start of the Tribeca Film Festival comes the Tribeca Ball, an unrelated event paying tribute both to the festival’s home base and to its homeboy. Robert DeNiro is to be the guest of honor at this event benefiting the New York Academy of Art, and he’ll be pulled aside by all the New York actors who’ve served on the committee! Stars on the benefit committee include Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, our favorite couple; Vanity Fair cover-girl Julianna Margulies; once and future indie queen (and forever party girl) Parker Posey; and Mary-Kate Olsen, but not Ashley.
