It’s Easter weekend and the hobnobbing set is quietly celebrating behind closed doors—a apt preview of how empty the UES streets will be on weekends this summer. Those left behind can exorcise their no-brunch-reservation rage by watching the kinetic work of Avi Scher & Dancers. The youthful choreographer Mr. Scher lures some of the world’s top companies into lending him a few stars, including American Ballet Theatre pro Herman Cornejo, who’s premiering a brand-new pas de deux with his creative partner, Misa Kuranaga of the Boston Ballet. We’ll try to remember that this isn’t the newly opened baseball season
and refrain from throwing batteries at the Bostonian!
