the eight-day week

To Do Sunday: Yun At Heart

The Shen Yun Festival returns to the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center (what did you think Mr. Koch’s namesake theater would host, last night’s Green Festival?). The performances have been going on since Wednesday, and today’s the last one, in fact. However, weekends are a good opportunity to scope out the nostalgia- or biological-clock-pang-inducing kiddies watching the show with Grandma—that is, when you’re not checking out the show itself. Shen Yun’s troupe of dancers take as their influence the 5,000 years of Chinese artistic history before Mao’s Cultural Revolution—there’s a lot to get through, but we swear, it moves pretty quickly!

David H. Koch Theater, 2 p.m. Tickets and information can be found at http://www.shenyun2012.org/NYC
