It’s a good night for girls of all ages as the young filmmaker Lena Dunham’s new HBO series Girls has its New York premiere (the world premiere, naturally, was at Austin’s hip South by Southwest festival). Ms. Dunham, the creator of this series about four young ladies trying to figure out life in New York (and none of them are the Miranda, thank you very much), will be accompanied by her show’s producer, comedy consigliere Judd Apatow, and hopefully by her own producers, artists Carroll Dunham and Laurie Simmons. Her costars include the lovely and talented daughters of NBC hipster-hater Brian Williams and plow-speeding playwright David Mamet—hey, it takes a lot of support to be able to express yourself!Private event.
