After going to the makeshift showroom to view the sparkling baubles worth more than our lives, we grabbed two gift bags on our way out--don't judge us, one was going to be for our mother--hoping beyond hope that it would contain some lost trinket of the House of Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov. Instead we were greeted by a mystery.

- A lookbook for Faberge.

- An invitation to donate to the New York Botanical Garden's Spring Picnic.

- A small poster board advertisement for Faberge.

-A gift box with a mother of small, mother pearl caviar knife along with an embossed note:

There was a name and number written on the card, which The Observer took out but you probably didn't notice because of our insane Photoshop skills. Now there was a mystery afoot! We called the number and made an appointment to receive our gift at the new 62nd St. and Madison location, which, based on the knife, we assumed would be an ornate Faberge caviar serving bowl.

- What we actually received after making the trek up to the new store: 1.8 ounces of fish eggs from Russian Caviar House.

Still delicious!
