We’re finally behind the doors of the National Arts Club—and all it took was a donation to the welfare of cuddly pups to get it done! (Hey, easier than a second letter of recommendation; Uma Thurman isn’t returning our calls!) Tonight’s Fifth Annual Animal Care Spring Fling benefits New York’s Animal Care and Control, the animal-welfare charity that doesn’t put upsetting, Sarah McLachlan-scored ads on the air. For that, they should be rewarded—and we’ll be partaking of the silent auction that includes a trip to Turks and Caicos and not a membership to the National Arts Club. (Don’t worry, we’ll impress the members with charming anecdotes of meeting Natalie Portman last night!)
National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South, 7pm; tickets and information can be found at nycacc.org.
