We’ve arrived! And after a day spent opening the house and lazing and making sure we have enough tonic water to last us a few days, we’re ready to catch up with the same people we see every week! (What’s vacation for, after all?) The regular crowd is gathering at the summer-opening ARF Designer Show House, a display of top interior designers’ work intended to benefit the Animal Rescue fund of the Hamptons. It’s all for sale—including pieces donated by the designers—and we’re happy to chip in, given our love of dogs and cats (as long as they’re in other people’s homes, dear, not ours).
ARF Thrift and Treasure Shop, 17 Montauk Highway (Sagaponack), preview hour at 5pm, general admission at 6pm, open to the public Sunday and Monday; tickets and information can be found at arfhamptons.org.
