In the remaining days before summer houses open up, we’re looking for excuses to get out of town—and if we can’t go Out East, we suppose we’re willing to go up the Hudson (hey, it’s not like we do much swimming when we’re staying at Billy Joel’s place!). As there’s not much to do up the Metro-North line—and very few of the charity benefits we’re only pretending we’d like to escape!—we may as well pay tribute to Dia: Beacon at its Spring Benefit, an all-day artfest featuring lunch amidst the sculptures and a performance of Yvonne Ranier’s choreography. The whole thing ends at 6, after the guided tour for donors. Anyone willing to give us a ride?
