To Do Thursday: Mr. B. Experience

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied (Getty Images)

We can’t get over Black Swan, Natalie Portman, if you won’t let us! The actress (who’s probably not related to veepstakes contender Rob Portman, but we’ll vet her just in case) is the honorary New York City Ballet Spring Gala chair—it’s amazing she can go back to Lincoln Center without post-traumatic stress disorder! It probably helps that her husband, Benjamin Millepied, is performing tonight with a newly commissioned score by Nico Muhly; his costume will be done by those Rodarte girls. Offer the happy couple a mazel tov before taking in the other new ballet productions, including George Balanchine’s Symphony in C, featuring Swarovski-encrusted costumes.

David H. Koch Theater, Lincoln Center, 5:30pm cocktail reception, 7pm performance, 9pm supper ball; for information and tickets, call (212) 870-5585.
