Sure, anyone can fundraise for Central Park, and the gentrifier-mommies we know even profess a fondness for Prospect Park. That’s all well and good! But we want to look interesting and ahead of the curve, so we’re helping raise money for the Hudson River Park. It helps that we’re in exalted company: tonight’s Hudson River Park Gala is to be honorary-chaired by Hugh and Mrs. Jackman, real-chaired by Diana Taylor and Douglas Durst, and hosted by CBS morning-news host Gayle King. (Now that she has a real job, do we still have to acknowledge she’s Oprah’s best friend? Guess so! At least we mentioned Diana Taylor without saying she’s Michael Bloomberg’s girlfriend … oops, too late.)
