Today brings the Tony nominations, and don’t worry, prospective nominees: even though it’s still running, there’s no chance that The Book of Mormon can win anything this year! It is the first year of eligibility for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, but doesn’t that seem sooo 15-months-ago? As ever, we’re rooting for Patti! … Meanwhile, the Luckyrice Festival hosts a feast with Momofuku and culinary-tech wizard Dave Arnold, the guy who taught us that liquid nitrogen is as important to a cocktail as vodka (not really, but ya know). The festival, meant to spotlight Asian cuisine, kicks off with 20 cocktail-food pairings. We’ll have a gimlet, heavy on the nitrogen—and a round for our friends from the Spider-Man cast, who’ll be drowning their sorrows!
Kristen Chenoweth and Jim Parsons announce the Tony nominations at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Lincoln Center, 8:30 a.m.; Luckyrice Epicurean Cocktail Feast, The Bowery Hotel, 335 Bowery, 7 p.m. Tickets and information can be found at http://www.luckyrice.com.
