It’s the one day a year we have to care about polo—and care we will! While the Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic has been moved to Liberty State Park in (shudder) New Jersey, there’s still plenty of New York society fun to be had, not least catching a good view of Nacho Figueras, the dashing polo star who’s leading his team, Black Watch. Those who were lucky enough to get tickets before the event sold out will have to pace themselves, as there is a five-drink maximum! We’ll be waiting for the ferry, since there’s no parking at the event, and who’d want to share the road in New Jersey, anyhow?
Liberty State Park, with ferries departing from Battery Park from 10am; gates open at 11am; event sold out, but information can be found at vcpoloclassic.com.
