    Start The Slideshow

We’ve stopped going out on Sunday night, since whatever HBO and AMC has lined up for us is inherently more interesting than our lives. But now that our season favorites are winding to a close, we wanted to commemorate some of our favorite strong women on the weekend line-up. Sure, they might be as cruel, heartless, and well-dressed as Charlize Theron in Snow White and the Huntsman, but they’re just so much fun!

From Brooklyn to Westeros, the White House to upstate, here is our salute to the best bitches in the business. Click through to see how they stack up against each other, and pick your favorites in the comments!

  • Back Forward Clockwise from left: Jessa and Marnie from 'Girls', Selina Meyer from 'Veep', Cersai from 'Game of Thrones', Betty Francis from 'Mad Men'

  • Back Forward Jessa (Jemina Kirke) and Marnie (Allison Williams) in Girls

Jessa (Jemina Kirke) and Marnie (Allison Williams) in Girls

Separately, these two aren't necessarily diabolical. But with their combined forces of hipster snobbery and uptight icy-ness, they are the mean girls from college you'd hoped you left behind for good.
Worst traits: Jessa screws her ex with a boyfriend, just to prove "she's unsmote-able." Meanwhile Marnie treats her boyfriend Charlie like a dog crap, until they break up. Then she begs to get him back...only to break up with him, mid-screw.
    Redeeming traits: Sapphic tendencies.
Mommy dearest: While neither of these two have been moms (yet), Jessa ditched her own abortion only to have a gleeful miscarriage during a bathroom hookup. She also lost the kid she babysat for while trying to form a nanny's union. Marnie is probably barren.
Best quote: Marnie (to Hannah): "You just doesn't understand, because she hasn't ever been loved this much. Except by me. I love you that much."
Jessa: "If I wanted to go on some dates, I would. But I don’t, because they’re for lesbians."

  • Back Forward Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) from Veep

Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) from Veep

Calculating but clueless, the neurotic VP is always dealing with a crisis of her own making, but she never quite sees it that way. Her staff usually gets the full brunt of Hurricane Selina's teeth-gritting rage.
Worst traits: Passes the buck, easily abandons positions, makes others take the fall for her mistakes. Inflated sense of self-importance, ineffectual, cruel. Forces one of her staffers to pretend to have a miscarriage to cover up her own.
Best traits: Well, she at least tried to get the Clean Bill Act passed. She has noble ambitions, even if reality (and her own ineptitude) constantly stands in their way.
Mommy dearest: Selina ignores her only daughter Catherine when she comes for a visit, except when it's time for a photo-op. Her accidental pregnancy with Ted has her doing damage control in the form of telling him he has to tell the press he proposed to her. When she miscarries, she breaks up with him. So, not the best mom.
Best quote: "That door should be half its height, so that people can only approach me in my office on their goddamn motherfucking knees!"

  • Back Forward Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) from Game of Thrones

Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) from Game of Thrones

An evil queen if there ever was one, Cersei plots to kill her husband, the king, in order to put her psychopathic son Joffrey on the Iron Throne. Incidentally kills Ned Stark and starts a war in the process. Has sex with one of her brothers, tries to kill the other.
Worst traits: All of the above-mentioned, plus she plays mind games with Sansa Stark, who she's essentially holding prisoner.
Best traits: Family loyalty, to the point where she married a man she hated.
Mommy dearest: The best mum in the bunch, it can't be said that Cersei doesn't love her children. She tries to kill Tyrion after he sends her daughter Myrcella away, basically destroys the kingdom to speed off Joffrey's rule, and tells Tommen a cute story...before trying to poison him. Okay, so maybe that last part doesn't look so good.
Best quote: (To her brother Tyrion) "One day I pray you love someone. I pray you love her so much when you close your eyes you see her face. I want that for you. I want you to know what it's like to love someone, to truly love someone, before I take her from you."

  • Back Betty Francis, nee Draper (January Jones) from Mad Men

Betty Francis, nee Draper (January Jones) from Mad Men

She started out as the audience's sympathetic point of reference on the show: the repressed housewife with anxiety issues whose husband cheats on her every chance he gets. One quickie divorce and Vegas marriage to Henry Francis later, and the new Betty is mean, slovenly, and pretty much hates everything, but mostly her ex-husband and her daughter. Suffers from severe depression, maybe even inherited mental illness, which is compounded when she starts eating her feelings.
Worst traits: Inability to express emotions through facial features. Takes food issues out on her daughter, Sally. Spurns affection.
Best traits: Loves Bugles; is making more of an effort with the kids, sort of. She comforted Sally about getting her period! That counts for something.
Mommy dearest: While her two sons are generally ignored, Betty and Sally Draper butt heads constantly, to the point where you wonder when the pre-teen isn't just going to run away from home and become a hippy.
Best quote: "I know people say life goes on, and it does but no one tells you that's not a good thing."
