It’s one of those random summer weekends: not really a holiday, neither early enough in summer for us to be excited nor late enough for us already to feel time’s passage. We’re passing the time dragging the kiddos around arts fairs—hey, they’ve been lounging, avoiding their summer reading, all week! First off, we’re hitting the artist Daniel Bottero’s retrospective in Southampton, an evening to benefit The Retreat, a place providing aid to victims of domestic violence. Thence to the Bridgehampton Antiques& Design Fair, opening today with all sorts of mid-century and Asian specialties.
