We’re paging all of our friends back in the city—or at least those early risers with an easy route to the Upper West Side. While we’ll be queuing endlessly at Golden Pear before heading back into Manhattan today, charity-minded Manhattanites should check out Races for Faces Walk. It’s a “fun run” of the sort that were in vogue in the early 2000s, and like those it’s for a very good cause: to raise money for the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at NYU. The whole thing goes down in Riverside Park, so you can grab a cold one at the Boat Basin Café afterward.
Riverside Park, North Lawn at West 81st Street, 10am; information can be found at racesforfaces.org.
