We started our Hamptons weekend early and we’re ending it late—we’ll be in no condition to board a jitney after the feast that’s set to ensue tonight at the so-called Summer Soiree at the Hamptons Players Club. Put on by Fairway Market (somewhere between Citarella and Morton Williams, for the uninitiated), the gourmandizing evening is to feature a cocktail-and-snack round, a wine-and-cheese master class from Fairway’s fromager and its sommelier, and then a three-course-meal (and we’re usually sated by a few passed crab cakes!). The event is to benefit the anti-hunger charity Yorkville Common Pantry. We’re hoping to win a delectible edible to regift to our long-suffering Hamptons hosts!
