It’s far from Labor Day, when we’re traditionally supposed to begin caring about politics, and yet we’re already so tremendously weary of the election! The brilliant folks at Warner Bros. decided the moment couldn’t be better for a comedy about electoral politics (as though we hadn’t laughed ourselves silly during the Herman Cain campaign!), and thus tonight brings a special screening of The Campaign, during which comedy stars past (Will Ferrell, playing the incumbent) and present (Zach Galifianakis, playing the upstart) duke it out for a Congressional seat. Both stars will be on the Lower East Side tonight glad-handling—for movie stars, like candidates, the campaigning never ends.
