Today’s the very reason the past few days have been so utterly dull when it comes to events we might actually want to attend: it’s the Fourth of July! Independence Day! And, falling as it does at the very middle of the week, it’s been led up to with several days of utter ennui! No matter, now: celebrate the Declaration of Independence with a declaration of subservience to your kids, who just want to see fireworks, and drag yourself up to Midtown to get the best view of the show at the U.S.S. Intrepid. It’ll be the most, or only, overtly patriotic spot in town!
U.S.S. Intrepid, Pier 86 at West 46th St and 12th Ave; doors open at 7pm, fireworks show at 9:20pm; tickets and information can be found at intrepidmuseum.org.
