Finally, a fête just for us! (We have such a desire to give until it hurts, but sometimes we just want to go to a party without hearing about a grave social ill.) We’re donning our white togs for the New Museum’s white party (do they owe royalties to Sean Combs? Or perhaps the ancient Greeks?) in their Bowery gallery space. Only members may attend the bash, but membership is the Downtown price of merely $60. Would that most museums were so cheap: we’d go to the Frick Museum’s tweed party every year!
New Museum of Contemporary Art, 235 Bowery, 7pm; become a member to gain admission at newmuseumstore.org.
