We can hardly bear to be outside these days—unless there’s some body of water we can idly contemplate swimming in before realizing our designer bathing suit isn’t meant to actually withstand aquatic use. But if you are into the whole “sweating off your makeup” thing, may we suggest a concert by Neil Sedaka put on by Concerts for City Greens? Tudor City Greens Park, Turtle Bay’s muffled answer to Bryant Park, hosts the Brill Building stalwart as he leads a tribute to himself. His niece, of Broadway’s Rebecca, is to serenade Uncle Neil, hopefully not with “Love Will Keep Us Together.” Sounds like a pretty humid Wednesday outdoors listening to standards, but it’s Aug. 1! If you’re not sitting in front of an air conditioner on vacation, you’re already doing something wrong.

Tudor City Greens, South Park, between 41st and 42nd streets and First and Second avenues, 6:30pm, free and open to the public.
