Mick Rock Goes Color, and We Get Sweaty With Lou Reed

So as it turns out, everyone loves photographer Mick Rock.  CATM Gallery in Chelsea opened it’s doors and let the spring heat in last night with the private preview of Rock’s latest installment: “The Legend Series” – A collection mixed with old and new, iconic prints converted to pop art, pop art converted to iconic prints.

An impressively stocked bar brought our attention away from the color wash, but only for a moment – “Holy shit that’s Lou Reed!” remarked a partygoer in line behind us – and, holy shit, it was, in fact, Lou Reed. Wrapped in an embrace with Mick, posing for a PMc photog, Reed appeared casual, calm, collected, a surprising feat considering how hot it was in the small space. Read More
