She’s about to film the final season of 30 Rock, and we’ll miss seeing the show’s blond second banana Jane Krakowski on our small screens! (Alec Baldwin, we can’t miss you unless you give the attention-seeking a break.) Ms. Krakowski—whose character’s singing aspirations are often the catalyst for 30 Rock’s jibes at actors’ vanity—is no longer the butt of the joke with her cabaret act at Town Hall. (She made her cabaret debut last year at Feinstein’s at the Regency and has been touring to promote her recent album.) The cabaret business is a nice soft landing for Ms. Krakowski: plenty of fans paying to see you, plenty of chorus boys (Yes! There are chorus boys here!) and limited dealings with Alec!

Calling all cabaret lovers! Linda Eder is back at Feinstein’s, premiering an act tonight that pays homage to great female voices—other than her own. Cabaret can be a rather onanistic affair, so it’ll be nice to see Ms. Eder raise her famous voice as a means of honoring the likes of Judy Garland, Lena Horne and Barbra Streisand. (People who interpret people, we suppose, are the luckiest people.) Ms. Eder has recorded an album-length tribute to Ms. Garland already (as well as a disk of something she calls “country-pop”—shudder), so we’re sure the evening will be completely tasteful.
